Fred Barrett, Managing Partner
Fred Barrett, Managing PartnerA hands-on technology leader with more than 27 years of experience developing market-driven software products and services, Fred Barrett is responsible for guiding the technology direction and standards of AscentIQ. Barrett has a unique blend of technology, sales and marketing experiences in Business-to-Business, Business-to-Consumer, E-Commerce, and Supply Chain technologies. His vision and execution skills across the corporate domain enable early market entry and solid technology foundation on which to grow AscentIQ.

Prior to AscentIQ, Barrett co-founded RFTrax, Inc., a hardware/software technology company focused on Supply Chain visibility and high-value asset management and tracking in 2001. Barrett led the company's technology initiatives, positioning the products for inclusion in US Department of Homeland Security's "Operation Safe Commerce" container security initiatives, and other international supply chain pilots. Mr. Barrett co-developed and received a patent for "inter-modal telemetry and monitoring solution" which is now in use by F100 corporations (U.S. Patent #7135976).

RFTrax was acquired in 2005 by Fairfield Industries, Sugar Land, TX. Barrett continued to lead product development and marketing efforts through the completion of his contract in April, 2007.

Lynn Neff, Managing Partner
A seasoned C-level executive with extensive successful experience in start-ups, turn-arounds and executing successful acquisitions. Successfully leads sales, business development, and corporate marketing teams. Responsible for creating and managing new business opportunities and strategic alliances that drove overall revenue growth for companies. He developed successful partnerships and joint ventures with MSA, Motorola, Unisys, SAP, Accenture and IBM. These partnerships led to the inclusion of RFTrax into the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's "Operation Safe Commerce" container security initiatives, and other international supply chain pilot and product rollouts.
Lynn co-wrote and received a patent for "inter-modal telemetry and monitoring solution" which is now in use by major corporations, such as GE. Neff initiated and led the acquisition of RFTrax by Fairfield Industries in 2005.

Before founding RFTrax, Neff was vice president, sales and business development for Interknack, a leading supplier of supply chain integration management tools. Prior to Interknack Neff worked for Caribiner International, the world's largest meetings and events supplier, where he was responsible for creating and growing a new corporate division focused on the integration of corporate branding with 3D marketing. His division was responsible for the largest automotive product launch in North America with the introduction of the Lincoln LS. As vice president of business development at Caribiner he developed and executed strategic projects for companies such as Lincoln Mercury, Hewlett Packard, Intel, 3M, Porsche, and Cannon.
